mailing list vs facebook

This is just a random thought,an accumulation of an anger of how many people have been missing from the EARTH since they left Singapore..How many people have been missing for our community's mailing list, but they seem quite active on facebook (which requires more time to load with Indonesia's internet connection).

I thought internet is supposed to ease communication among people. Sometimes I'm not patient to wait for reply because I'm too used to free and accessible internet here in Singapore (except now there's no wireless connection in A block lounge). However, I'm so pissed off when people just disappear and say "ohh sorry...very hard to access internet here" but they still can access facebook weekly!!

It's also ironic because the things that my friends post on mailing list are more important than just a status "ohhh...terrible exam questions" or comment on a photo "ah really?but we are siblings..that's why she resembles me"..and please...the post on the mailing list really asks the members "What do you think of...?" "Can someone help...?" I think it requires more urgent reply than a photo on a facebook album.

I'm not anti-facebook or twitter or anything :)
I'm just a person who is annoyed by the people who are just missing, who have never replied email, and make "no internet connection" as an excuse. *disclaimer: no offend for people who really can't access internet,I had the same experience..this post is only used for WAKING UP people who are too overwhelmed by social networking sites AND neglecting their responsibility. again,if you are social networking sites-addict but you are still responsible, don't feel offended*
